Sonakshi Sinha was born on June 2, 1987. She completed her schooling from Arya Vidya Mandir, Mumbai and graduated in Fashion Designing from Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University, Mumbai. She first walked the ramp of Lakme Fashion Week 2008 and 2009. She was the cover girl of Maxim Magazine, India for the month of December, 2010. She is a great animal lover and she posed for a PETA campaign advocating the adoption and sterilization of dogs and cats.
Sonakshi Sinha is all charged up and excited as she has started shooting for filmmaker AR Murugadoss's upcoming action thriller Akira. The film will also feature Sonakshi's father Shatrughan Sinha in an important role. It will be produced by Fox Star Studios and is the official remake of Tamil sleeper hit Mouna Guru. Along with the daughter-father duo, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has been roped in to play the baddie in the film.
